This retreat is about deepening our regular meditation practice by using a series of specific and systematic exercises in order to increase our awareness and concentration.
In the morning, we will practice a set of simple movements of the body in a slow and mindful manner. We will rest for about one minute after each (short) period of movements in order to absorb the full benefit of this yogic approach.
In the afternoon, there will be a guided Yoga Nidra meditation, starting with a body scan in a particular order (starting with the right thumb). Yoga Nidra is a tantric meditation which is known for dissolving tension and deeply relaxing the brain.
Periods of regular Buddhist meditation will envelop both the morning and the afternoon session.
